Are guests allowed to visit the exhibitions during my event?

We close exhibition galleries during all weddings. We would like all of the attention to be on the couple and their big day.

Is parking available?

Public parking is conveniently located one block north of the Museum at Clark and LaSalle Streets. Enter on Stockton Drive. The Museum’s secure, well-lit parking facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The lot can accommodate up to 460 cars.

Self-parking

Event guests may self-park in the Chicago Historical Society parking lot. Upon entering or exiting the museum, attendees may have their tickets validated at the front desk. The validated rate is $9.00 per vehicle for 24 hours.

Hosted-parking

If you would like to provide parking for your guests, you may purchase passes at $9.00 each. Purchase parking passes at least ten days before the event date. For hosted parking, guests self-park in the lot. We distribute parking passes at the event for guests to use upon their exit.

Valet Parking

We can arrange for valet parking. Please speak with your event coordinator for details.

Can I bring my caterers?

Guests can use their vendors. We also have a list of preferred catering vendors including Berghoff Catering, Blue Plate, Food For Thought, Limelight, and Paramount Events.

Do I need to rent AV equipment?

Most spaces feature built-in audiovisual equipment. Please connect with your coordinator to come up with a solution that works best for your event.
